We incorporate the Active Learning Approach in Green class. This approach, developed by Dr Lilli Nielsen from Denmark, focuses on developing the full potential of young children with visual impairments and/or multiple disabilities. The basic principles we adopt in Green room are:

  • everyone can learn
  • all children learn through play
  • all children learn by being active participants rather than passive observers
  • active learning is hands off.

By providing a rich learning environment we entice and increase the opportunities for our students to become active and explore on their own.
